Medipally is a village in the Mudigonda mandal of khammam district. It is a Nirmal Bharath Abhiyan award winning village. It is also helping the neighboring villages and places by supplying the Addasaram stems to take up plantation.
In medipally, people have arranged the addasaram plantation as Bio - fencing. These plants are known for mosquitoes control and its diseases control.It has also capacity of curing the respiratory problems. Many people in the village have similar arrangements of Bio-fencing.On persuasion, people of Medipally have agreed to supply the addasaram stems to khammam town, kothagudem, yellandu, Manuguru, Bhadrachalam, Suryapet and Vijayawada under the leadership of the Khammam municipal Corporation.
Earlier, some ayurvedic doctors like Suresh Jakotia was also propagated the addasaram stems to suryapet municipality and other places.
Also ,it is observed that Gorinta plants and other plants are also used as Bio-fencing.Gorinta and vavili is also propogated by the stem.
The advantages of the Bio-fencing of the ayurvedic plants is that the people can be healthy at low and no cost measures. The Indian traditions would prevail.
