Once upon a time there was a saint in a forest. He was very simple and wears a only lower garment .He did not have any attachment to the physical world.He use to preach to surrounding people for one hour about the simple life and noble thinking, spiritual matters.One hour in a day he assigned the time for healing the health problems.Rest of the time he used to meditate.A few times only, he use to eat the fruits brought by the villagers.
Over a period of time, many villagers of distant places started attending his preachings.His fame was also reached to the king also. King wished to attend the preachings of the saint.The prior permission of the saint was taken.On the permitted day , king attended the preaching along with his wife. Saint started preaching as usual.he preached that a man who has much treasure has to face difficulties of managing it and fear of lossing.Some of the bad habits also attack them.Also some people may be eccentric.The simple life is always better.Accumulation of treasure will always cause problems.
King started taking it very personally.He become angry ,but maintained his cool and asked the saint that every rich person would not behave in the same manner.He also told that he will prove that even the saint would also worry, if he losses some thing. The rest of the session went smoothly.
After conclussion of the session, the king went back to his capital.He called one of his ministers to enquire about the saint and his properies. Minister reported on very next day that he does not have any other properties other than his lower garment.
Subsequently, he went to the saint and offered huge amount for development of the ashram.But, the saint has refused such proposals for wasteful expenditure. King was astonished and went back to his capital and called his minister and ordered for theft of his lower garment also.

On very next day, while saint was taking bath, his lower garment was stolen by personnel of king.when minister informed that lower garment was taken away, he rushed to saint and asked him whether he was worried for lossing his only lower garment?
Saint replied that I was thinking that I am a Sanyasi (one who left everything), but my lower garment was barrier for being a sanyasi.now I lost it and I am now totally free of every thing.I have nothing to loose.Now I am real sanyasi.Now the whole universe is mine. King was shocked and realised the greatness of the saint.King again offered huge amounts and again it was met with the same fate. From that day onwards, saint discarded his lower garment also.on the request of villagers, lower garment was worn during the preaching session and health sessions.
Moral:
1.One who discards every thing, the whole universe is belongs to him.If some one thinks that he is the owner of a piece of land, he will be that only.
2.Simple life is always better and joyful.
3.attittude of superior quality persons does not change and it cause changen in others. 4.Happines comes from within, it does not come from outside.
